It is with great pleasure that we announce the introduction and orientation of the Faith Institute of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam this Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2pm. Please be in attendance to hear first hand the introduction of the various courses that will be provided and the instructors who will be teaching them.

FAITH Institute – Cultivating Community Life through the Power of Knowledge

The vision of the Faith Institute is to cultivate healthy Islamic community life by providing educational programs for the entire family—“from the cradle to the grave.”

The mission of the Faith Institute is to make the Atlanta Masjid a center for community learning by providing programs that offer high quality Islamic education that is based upon our Islamic heritage and legacy,

The curriculum of the Faith Institute represents a variety of important subjects to enlighten community members with well-rounded Islamic knowledge. It has the ability to take students with limited or advanced previous knowledge of the religious sciences or Arabic and prepare them to function conscientiously in their daily Islamic life. The curriculum will focus on 6 primary subjects:

  1. Quran
  2. Arabic
  3. Islamic Jurisprudence
  4. Lives of Major Prophets (saw)
  5. Foremost concepts/language from Imam W.D Muhammad.
  6. Interfaith/Comparative Scriptures.
