Imam Mansoor Sabree
currently serves as the Director and Resident Imam of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam Community. He represents A new generation of indigenous American Muslim leadership. Imam Sabree is blessed by Allah to be guided by the teachings and insights of the late Honorable Imam Warith Deen Mohammed. Imam Sabree was selected by Imam Mohammed to study Arabic and Islamic Law at Abu Nour University in Damascus, Syria under the tutelage of the late Grand Mufti, Shiekh Ahmed Kuftaro.
Imam Sabree shares his knowledge and skills with a community of approximately 3,000 supporters. He serves as Director of Islamic Affairs at the Mohammed Schools of Atlanta, He is dedicated to shaping the next generation of American Muslims intellectually, spiritually and socially to take on their role as vicegerents in the earth.
Being committed to sharing the Muslim-American experience with the world, Imam Sabree has been blessed to travel and lecture in several countries. They include: Palestine, Malaysia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, UAE and Syria most recently Istambul, Turkey He has also performed Hajj and Umrah.
Imam Sabree is a member of World Pilgrims (Atlanta-based interfaith group of Muslims, Christians and Jews), an advisory board member for Fons Vitae Publishing, Co-founder of Your Muslim Neighbors Inc. and board Chair for Neighborhood Works Inc, a non-profit community housing Development Organization (CHDO) and A Fellow of American Muslm Leadership Institute (AMCLI) .
Mansoor resides in Atlanta with his illustrious wife Fatima Khokhar-Sabree
and their two children, Maymuna and Ayub Sabree.
